Calculate Distance per State

Hello guys,

I currently using the TomTom API to get the total Miles from Point A to Point B and it works great, but I also need to know the total Miles per State.

Example:

Starting Point: 1301 Guadalupe St, Laredo, TX 78040, USA
Coordinates: 27.506386951959737, -99.48331644643416

Ending Point:333 E Trade St, Charlotte, NC 28202, USA
Coordinates: 35.22236014055575, -80.84325475556084
